Dear Judith,
Thank you so much for your kind critique of last week’s tour.  My

assistants and I are always working on developing a more meaningful tour

for our guests.  Leading tour groups can be very gratifying when the

group is interested in the subject, and they illustrate their interest

by the questions that they ask.  Your students were an absolute pleasure

and it was apparent to me that they were all eager to learn.  It was a

direct reflection of what kind of teacher they have in the course of

study. I truly enjoyed my time with them and with you as well.
Next time I hope we have all the kinks worked out as far as getting the

inmate speaker on board.  I am sure many of our guests will find is

fascinating.

I just got a letter from my penpal on death row, and I had asked him about the library and if he was allowed to use it. This is what he said:

“As for the library here, on the row, we’re not actually allowed to go to the library. Instead they have us fill out ‘Book Request Forms’ on which we are supposed to guess what books we want sent. They never have any of the books I ask for, it got to the point

    Corinne -

OMG this is so disturbing. I almost feel like your prisoner. After contacting our teacher in the begining of the semester asking how to get in contact with a prison as I have never known one before in order to satisfy my curiosity and at the same time receive credit for the community service I was pretty much told the dame thing. I am jealous how did you get a penpal?
